Wall Crystal Lights
Wall lights are unusual nowadays, and give a different character to the rooms that you place them in. They are usually installed like ceiling lights, with cords inside the walls, so you can have a switch next to the door for when you come home from your wild weekend parties … They are great for hallways, where a single ceiling light may light the centre of the room well but leave the ends dark and dank – you can have several lower wattage lights strewn along the hallway.
Crystal wall lights create a surprisingly charming atmosphere – you can choose from opaque ceramic bowls or translucent ones, for a softer light throughout the room.
Crystal wall lights:
Our wall lights are mostly twin-arm, but you can get them with up to a 6 arm wall light. Some of them are approved for bathroom use (with the extra complication of the humid atmosphere), so you can create a pleasant light mood in every room of your house.
Tips for wall lights:
- Fit a dimmer switch on the main central light or wall light to create instant atmosphere.
- Mount wall lights beside features that won't be moving - in alcoves, for example, or on either side of a fireplace.
- If you want to read in an armchair, place the light to one side, behind and above your chair.
- If you have a period bathroom you can fit shades to wall-mounted fittings, but they must be approved for bathroom use.
- If you have kids, or have them around, use wall-mounted lights rather than freestanding lamps which can be knocked over easily.

Cleaning and maintenance of your wall crystal light:
Wash trimmings, bowls and covers of sockets in warm water with a detergent. Clean metallic parts with a flannel cloth, and polish rather than chemical cleaner – chemicals can erode their surface finish, as well as giving you an awful cleaning headache!
