Table Crystal Lights

Table lights are basically the same thing as a floor light, but with a shorter stand, so that they can be easily placed on tables or stands. You’ll probably use them most often in your bedrooms (for annoying your partner by reading when they are going to sleep!), and on study desks, in the hope that extra light will ehlp you concentrate better!

Table lamps are perhaps the most common type of lamp used today. They generally range in height from 10" (25 cms - 80 cms) to 32”.

When choosing a table lamp, the shade needs to be in proportion to the lamp's base, as well as fitting with the scheme of the surrounding furniture. The shade should be at eye level when you're seated, and the bulb should not be visible. Generally speaking, shorter lamps should be placed on taller tables, and taller lamps should be placed on shorter tables to balance the interior design of your room.

Table crystal lights:

On this website you will find many kinds of shades, in various colours and shapes. We have suppliers all over Europe, so have access to a very wide range of them. Our specialty is in crystal table lights, made by very reputable companies that are famous for their quality and design. You can afford to be picky – your favorite might be just round the corner.

Tips for table lights:

  1. Choose shades that are white on the inside and a warm colour outside, and fit them with a clear bulb to give off warm tones of light.
  2. If your child has a computer or television in their room, and you can’t possibly drag them away from it and into a bit of daylight (!), don't let them watch it in total darkness. It's better for their eyes to use low-level light, either from a dimmed light or from a table lamp with the beam directed at the ceiling.
  3. If too much natural daylight is coming in, you'll barely see the screen at all. Place the light either behind or beside the television to combat this.
  4. Choose light and bright paint colours. Shades such as pale green, blue and lilac will make a room look larger whereas red, orange, brown and black absorb light and make it look smaller and darker. As a rule of thumb, the lighter the paint - the closer to white - the more reflective it is, and therefore, the more effective your table light is.
  5. Use table lamps dotted around the outside edges of the room on shelves and tables. They'll radiate light inwards, making the room feel spacious yet cosy.

Cleaning and maintenance of your table crystal light:

Wash trimmings, bowls and covers of sockets in warm water with a detergent. Clean metallic parts with a flannel cloth, and polish rather than chemical cleaner – chemicals can erode their surface finish, as well as giving you an awful cleaning headache!
