It is often said that the best ideas are the simplest ones … and this is true of one the simple but marvelous ideas of our new suppliers, Pasini Metals Production. We recently began stocking the PASS/Move into Design range, a range of different and very modern handles createdby Daniela Seminara for Pasini Metals Productions, a company that has been producing brass handles for over 40 years.

The old brass knob or lever certainly gets a new lease of life in the PASS range - the focus of innovation here is not so much the look of the handle, but the function. The French certainly created handles just about as ornate as they could possibly be - there is not much room left for innovation in the area of shaped and decorated brass handles!  But there was definitely room for improvement in the useability of your door handles - and this is where the Plus line comes in.

Your Plus door handles won’t get up to get you a beer from the fridge when you just can’t miss what’s happening on TV … nor will they turn up the heater when you get a bit chilly, and unfortunately they can’t hop off the door and give you a massage after you’ve been breaking your back all day. So what use are they?!!! The new useability of the Plus handles has been integrated simply and sweetly.The Plus-O range features a small hole in the end of the handle, where you can pop a flower, or anything else with a small, thin end - turning your door handles into vases, and instantly brightening your room! All of the handles on a plate feature a hook for hanging things - bags, notes, hats, etc - integrating the use that everyone has found for their doorhandles every now and then, into the base design of the product. The Plus-UP range features a cheekily upwards-curved handle, which meets your hand on its way.

One of the nicest features of the Plus range is that every material, shape and design is interchangeable - you will find handles on a rose, handles on a plate, and accessories available in every different finish, and every different shape. A simple but powerful change!
