We have posted on several doormats on the site … it is actually quite difficult to find well-designed and/or traditional style doormats, but quite easy to find crazy, out-there ones. These flip flop doormats are by the masters of the onomatopoeic shoe, Havaianas, and include a pair of built in shoes!
From here on out I’m going to refer to the shoes by my native Australian term of thongs (just a warning for those of you who speak a different English!), and ignore the potential sniggers about what I do with what would be underwear, in a different part of the world.
Researching for this...

If you had a dollar for every minute you spent outside the bathroom door, twiddling your thumbs, watching the clock tick down towards the minute you were supposed to be at work (or past that minute), waiting for your blooming brother or husband to finish waxing their legs and let you have a shower, would you be rich?!
Well, if anybody ever gives you all those dollars, you can buy one of these self-unlocking timers for your bathroom door. What’s more, if somebody stays in the bathroom over their allotted time, the door doesn’t just unlock to reveal them in all their leg-waxy, hair-dyeish,...

Regular readers of the blog may not be surprised by the fact that a door mat could have a better sense of humour than me But I was!
This ‘Hi. I’m Mat.’ Doormat is very funny … or at least some people think it is. It comes from High Cotton, whose website tag is ‘Fun and Original Works of Creative, Humourous Brilliance …
To Satisfy The Easily Amused’!!! A-ha, perhaps I am not so un-funny after all, just a bit more discerning in my humour. ‘Mmmm, overtones of sarcasm, full on the palate, aged approximately not at all, and with a slightly bitter aftertaste’!!
Outside...

Have you ever wished to really annoy everyone that came to your door, especially those that you know and like well enough to let them inside your home? Sure, who hasn’t?! Well, the Defendius Door Chain is just the product!
I am sure this door chain is a reversed-sort of model that is supposed to be installed on the outside of the door, rather than the inside. Door chains are only supposed to hold the door at a certain point, so that people can’t push inside, if they are used as a security device. The Defendius doesn’t change that at all - it only takes longer to get it to the...

Have you ever been out prowling the streets of a fairly rich but not very secure looking area, trying to pick front door lock after front door lock, finding it a hopeless task in the dark, and gone home extremely disheartened? It’s hard telling your ten children they’ll have nothing to eat because nobody installs motion sensing lights at their front door to help you pick locks with anymore, isn’t it!
Go on - have a heart! And if you don’t want to help burglars find your front door lock to pick it (well, it would be one less thing to put on your insurance claim - plus if...

We have plenty of great examples of artistic door handles, rim locks, door knockers and other hardware on site. That is our raison d’etre, in fact. We have plenty that have pictures, intricate scenes, life-like represntations of various things … but we certainly don’t have anything as cool, intricate, or teeth-grittingly hilarious as the planned Star Wars promotional fridge pictured, with Han Solo frozen in carbonite on the door!
You callous people that saw Return of the Jedi, laughted when Han was frozen in Jabba the Hut’s enclave, and decided that you would leave him there...

In the same vein as the sound sensing keyhole light, but this time not competing with any of our products on site (most importantly!), is this space-invaders inspired door mat!
We are fans of the traditional here (among other things! We are also fans of the uber-modern, for that matter), and as far as video games go, it doesn’t get more traditional than space invaders. In fact, we would hazard a guess that if those of you that have Victorian, Edwardian, Tudor or French Regency homes right now were transported into the future, your houses would be filled with Space Invaders, Reeboks and Pacman...
